• Connect to the Icotera fiber modem
    • Either with a network cable to one of the 4 LAN ports on the modem.
    • Or via Wi-Fi
      • The default Wi-Fi name and password are printed on the sticker on the fiber modem.
         
  • Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.7.1/

  • Username
    • admin
  • Password
    • varangerbynett
       
  • In the left menu under "Settings"
    • Click "Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n" (these are the settings for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi).
    • Enter your desired Wi-Fi name in the "SSID" field.
    • Enter your desired Wi-Fi password in the "Encryption key" field.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page.

Icotera Knapper

  • Click "Save".
  • Click "Apply".
  • The fiber modem will take a few seconds to apply the changes.
  • In the left menu under "Settings"
    • Click "Wi-Fi 802.11ac" (these are the settings for 5 GHz Wi-Fi).
    • Enter your desired Wi-Fi name in the "SSID" field.
    • Enter your desired Wi-Fi password in the "Encryption key" field.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  • Click "Apply".
  • The fiber modem will take a few seconds to apply the changes.
