Change Wi-Fi name and password on Zyxel fiber modem
- Connect to the Zyxel fiber modem.
- Either with a network cable to one of the 4 LAN ports on the modem.
- Or via Wi-Fi.
- The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password (Wireless Key) are printed on the sticker on the fiber modem.
- The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password (Wireless Key) are printed on the sticker on the fiber modem.
- Open a web browser and go to https://192.168.1.1/
- User Name
- admin
- Password
- The value shown after "Login Password" on the sticker.
- Click the arrow at the bottom right of the "WiFi Settings" box
- Uncheck the box labeled "Random Password".
- Enter your desired Wi-Fi name in the "WiFi Name" field and your desired Wi-Fi password in the "WiFi Password" field, then click "Save".
